Abstract

The Revista Española de Pedagogía (Spanish Journal of Pedagogy or REP) is one of the oldest journals in the world dealing with general pedagogical research. Since it began in 1943, the Revista Española de Pedagogía has maintained the highest standards of quality and has gained international recognition. As a result, it was the first Spanish journal on educational research to be included in the very selective 2007 Journal Citation Report. The logo of the journal is a wheel, a symbol that evokes several ideas: creativity and forward motion, the eye of wisdom that enters into the knowledge of reality, the sun that radiates knowledge and makes ideas shine more clearly, as well as the globe, the sign of education that takes an interest in the whole society of which it forms part. There are two versions of the journal. Each issue is printed in Spanish and can also be found, in full, on the journal’s website. In addition, all of the research articles and book reviews are translated into English and can also be found on the journal’s website.
